Welcome to California Sports Paradise.

It seems ages ago, but then it only seems like yesterday, when the concept for California Sports Paradise was being sketched out on a restaurant napkin over a plate of enchiladas. Now, months later, after hundreds of hours of work, and lots of late-night pizza, here we are!

We're still not quite finished with our resource guide, but we were so excited about sharing it with you and getting to know you that we decided to go on-line anyway. The current format may stay fairly static for awhile as we continue working on the site to finish up what we planned and work out as many bugs as possible. We will be bringing the Sierras on-line as soon as possible. If something is not looking right on your browser, please drop us a line and let us know what browser you're using and what problems you may be encountering. We'd like our site to be visible and easily navigated by everyone.

If you've found us, it means the search engines have picked us up. Or maybe you heard about us through word of mouth. Anyway, we're glad you're here.

The purpose of California Sports Paradise is to share the abundance of wealth California offers to the outdoor sports buff. Our approach will be on a personal level. We've hiked, biked, surfed, paddled, run, walked, and dived, all over California and now we want to share it with you.

We've visited most of the places we're listing in our resource guide. If we haven't been there yet, we plan to go soon. In writing the guide, we've whetted our own appetites to get out more often and enjoy this paradise we call home.

Our plans for the future (besides completing what we've started) are to bring you sections on family camping, possibly dive sports, and a few of those little-known, out of the way, family amusements.
